The Reconstruction era had begun in 1865 when President Lincoln had been assassinated, Andrew Johnson had become the new President and till 1877 this era continued. It was a rather turbulent era as it was followed by the Civil War and the various declarations and changes with regard to slavery. The reconstruction era’s main aim was to unite the already divided country into North and South during the Civil war. There were various reasons due to which the Reconstruction failed and that included financial resources for the Reconstruction era was not used properly, the labor system saw a major change through emancipation and abolishment, thus there was no stable form of labor in the nation.
